The New York Jets re-sign Jeremy Ross

The New York Jets have re-signed 28-year old WR/KR/PR Jeremy Ross.  Ross played in 2 games (0 starts) earlier this year and he returned 2 kickoffs for 52 yards (26.0 avg).  He has now played in 47 games (15 starts) in first five years in the NFL and he has returned 77 punts for 864 yards (11.2 avg) with 1 TD return.  He has also returned 68 kickoffs for 1,706 yards (25.1 avg) with 1 TD return so far in his career.  Ross last played WR for the Ravens in 2015.  He has caught 39 passes for 469 yards (12.0 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  He has also carried the ball 5 times for 41 yards (8.2 ypc) so far in his career.  To make room on the roster for Ross, the Jets have waived 22-year old linebacker Taiwan Jones.  Jones played in 3 games as a rookie for the Jets this year and he had 2 tackles.
